General Management:
- The Kearney Community Hall Board held two formal in-person meetings in 2025, at the Hall. Additional frequent communication was via telephone, text, and email. I continued to send out periodic email updates. Notes are on file.
– The Hall was rented for 27 days in 2025, generating $5,672.22.
- I continue to apply and refine the Booking Application, a Rate Schedule, and a Rental Agreement with input from board members.
- Our web site continues to be maintained largely by volunteer JoAnne Puckett. I update the event calendar.
- We have not secured and individual for regular mowing. Purchase of a lawn more remains subject to that being accomplished.
- Water quality was tested and results were very positive.
- A large well-built outdoor barbeque grill on a trailer was donated to the Hall by Bob Leresche.
Construction Update:
- The surface of the new outdoor bar remains to be refinished.
- We replaced the K E A R N E Y sign on the outside east wall.
- Scott Madsen has said he would help with the outhouse but has not been available.

Fundraising:
Fundraising sources for 2025 were mostly from rental fees and cash donations; we made no grant applications. Local volunteers in conjunction with the Kearney Hall Board hosted “Family Dances”. Partners from Sheridan hosted a second ‘annual’ fundraiser/music event in 2025, and are scheduled to have a third in spring 2026. One grant for $500.00 was awarded from the Sheridan Community Foundation; we expect to follow-up with them. Letters of “Thank You” were sent to donors.
